Rules of life by Bill Gates

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.
Rule 1 : Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2 : The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6 : If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7 : Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8 : Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9 : Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10 : Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11 : Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one

What Matters Most

My late father used to say that life is worth living because it’s what we make of it that matters. Every moment should be cherished; no minute should go to waste. Also, life could be made easier when there are fewer things to worry about. Everyone in society with any family, assets o responsibilities needs some coverage for family insurance because it could add peace of mind and security in life.
This website handle the every little detail you need in family life insurance. They quickly give insurance quotes, explain the insurance plans pros and cons and on how to save money on insurance premium. Every one has different life insurance needs and therefore it is unnecessary to spend money on policies that you don't need.

Love and Care

I miss my college friend, Anna. She went to England the other year to join her Scottish husband, Aaron. The last time she e-mailed me, she apologized for not keeping in touch as often as she used do for the reason that she's been busy with their frequent visit to her husband's Aunt Mary. Aunt Mary is currently living in one of UK's best nursing home.

Aaron 's Aunt Mary is a senior who can no longer live alone due to forgetfulness, frailty, and chronic medical condition and assisted living facilities might be the only option. According to Anna, only nursing home have the medical professionals on staff to address ongoing medical needs, with a first class care plan supervised by physicians and registered nurses on site 24 hours per day. It is the couple's one way of showing their unconditional love and support to the old woman whom Aaron considered as his second mother.

Christmas is fast approaching and perhaps sending a Christmas card for Anna will convey my message of how i miss her so much.

French Dream

I haven’t been to Europe but given a chance to travel someday, France is in top of my list of the countries I wish to visit. It’s been my dream nation. I’ve mentioned this constantly in my previous blog entries. Even my friends are aware that seeing Paris is one of my dreams. By just daydreaming me doing the road trip from Naples to Paris to any other part of the country I feel high already.

Road trip in Europe is without doubt much exciting and more economical. Traveling by car has many advantages. First of all you can move quickly and can travel wherever and whenever you want. For sure, staying in a Paris hotel is a great experience too.

Shopping Cart

I am not only a full-time stay-home mom. Presently, I also engage myself into home business/entrepreneurship as a living. I produce goodies called polvoron which is more popularly known in abroad as shortbread. It's been years that I'm thinking to sell my goodies via internet. My friends abroad has been encouraging me to put up online store so they can easily order/shop my polvoron by simply clicking their mouse.

However, creating an online store is not as easy as eating peanuts. First and foremost, I need to have an ecommerce software or more popularly known as shopping cart software.

I used to think that putting up something online will probably cost me a fortune. I am kinda hesitant to resort of hiring a software developer or designer because for sure it will cost me an arm and a leg. Good thing that i have come across ecommerce software that is so affordable, and includes fully customizable designs. One doesn't to be an Einstein or geeky because this shopping cart software is so easy to use and has thousand of features. With it's full tech support and customer service 24/7, how can one go wrong with this shopping cart software?

By the way, Ashop Commerce give a 10-day free trial of the software with no credit card required and also offer store design for - Free!
